Do you work your book of business?

I've been surprized at how many of my senior customers text me with questions. It's also a more convenient way to communicate for them too.

Sometimes, When its through CRM and I know who it is right away then yes

But if its random to my cell, and I have to look them up it can be a pain

I have a quote / information sheet I use at the beginning of most referrals or quotes. It has the normal stuff on it Ht&Wt, smoker? Meds, Dx and so on..it also has all of their contact info. Address, email, Cell and do they text Y/N.

I get call on a letter they get from a company and first thing I ask is if they picture text. Saves a ton of time.

Stuff like docusign is now so last year. Freaking Boomers!

2 crms in the Medicare space getting rave reviews fir easy automation functions are Eric Fierros dfy crm and Justin brocks go guru. Both $99 a month but do the ringless voicemails and automated texting , drip email etc .

For mailing people love go power mail . You join for a monthly fee and get unlimited free postcards and they do the mailing with your lists . You pay the postage . Let's say I want to do drip t-65 postcard mailers starting 7 months before their 65 . I give them a list of 800 . I provide the content each postcard and they mail out for the 40 cent a card . I was listening to bill Kirats you tube today . They got agents advertising on streaming video going well . Seminars using QR code's to scan on the mailers ti people . It takes them to a short video of you and they full out the rsvp .

They were all say direct mail response rates tanking . We all must embrace the new technology to prospect and retain clients or get left behind . I just started using a crm 5 months ago . Medicare pro which has helped me a lot to organize and keep track of my Bob . But it's archaic as far as technology to you like a caller or ringless voicemail

Ringless voicemails annoy me.

Ringless voicemails annoy me.

They annoy everyone. Ringless VM still rings. It just rings for a second and then goes to VM.. which is even more frustrating.

As from DM, it depends on the content. Dropping yet another BRC, yes it's dropping. Creating DM that engages the prospect about you and then does a real CTA vs "mail this card back" doesn't drop nearly as bad.

Postcards are fine and all, but for T65 it's literally just another postcard they get. The point, with DM, is to get them to interact with the piece. It costs more, but your response rate is better.

Personally, I like letters with handwritten fonts and a real stamp. Double panel window envelopes are just more noise to me.

Honestly, and I'm just speaking for myself, it's smarter to look at the type of mail you actually open/interact with vs what people tell you "works."

Lists get a basic set of letters, as described above.
All prospects that call in get a thank you letter in a bubble wrap mailer with a letter opener and my card inside.
All clients get a box with a coffee mug and another thank you letter with a magnet card.
On the effective date they get another white letter with 5 business cards and a reminder that they need annual reviews and I hit them with a low-key referral request.

Everyone gets a digital newsletter every month from Reminder Media reminding them to contact me and asks for referrals, but that's almost all it talks about concerning insurance.

As I shift my business from just Medicare to a retirement specialist, I've started working on drip campaigns for prospects about other lines without being salesy.

You guys listen to voicemails?

I jest b/c I know we have to for business but phone apps like ringcentral will transcribe your voicemails in email and for some reason, ringless drops don't show as anything so I know to delete them right away (even though the message is over 1 minute long).

Fwiw, my daughter has never even set up her VM. When I asked her why, she said anyone who wants to talk to me will just text or snapchat me. Lol...

I don't usually listen. I usually just answer the phone. I use my cell, so Verizon transcribes.
