Does Hair Matter?

"A bald head is a solar panel for a sex machine"

Grow old gracefully, with dignity and healthy self esteem. People who buy because of hair are difficult to find. Keep what you have left well groomed and natural color. Hairpieces are horrible and plugs are painful and expensive. Look at yourself in the mirror and see if there aren't other parts that could use some attention such as weight, teeth and wardrobe. I've heard clothes make the man but never heard hair does - unless it's ungroomed. Ask yourself, 'ami I too self concious. I've gone to a clients home with a tie on and be asked why I'm so dressed up. Of course, I'm in So Florida where we can go in shorts and a polo shirt and still write business.:D

I started losing my hair 12 years ago at 23 and started shaving it then. I've been in the business almost 6 years and have always shaved my head. The trick is to stay clean shaven (both head and face) everyday, keep a light tan for some pigmentation, workout so you don't get old man fat rolls on the back of your neck, and wear nice clothes. Do this and hair won't matter.

Dude, it depends on the person. There are people who do not care about their hair, and there are those who love them. For example, I had alopecia two years ago and went to the doctor to find a treatment. We worked a lot on my hair, but not there was no result. As a result, the doctor suggested that I think about hair transplants, but I immediately refused, because my hair is not so important to me that I have to undergo surgery. But my father was ready for anything to get his hair back at 52, so it depends on the person and his attachment to his hair.
I don't need one, but if I did...I'd pass.

:laugh:... I didn't even know this thread existed! Thanks for bumping 8+ yr old thread.

As those who know even a little about me... they know I have even littler hair...

I tell folks I set appointments with, "I'm six foot, bald on top, and have gray sidewalls."

Older folks find that funny and younger one's find it disarming. As much as I may complain about hair loss (only on top..), I find it one of the quickest ways to get a smile or small laugh. Learning self deprecating humor with a smile does more to relax folks than anyone could imagine. That goes a long way in building trust and making the sale.

I'm also give hugs (no comments from peanut gallery) and that goes a long way in solidification. You could call me the "bald headed huger". :wubclub:;)
