Drop in Traffic

There seems to be a huge drop in web site traffic right now.

I am running a PPC with a $500 monthly budget and its been 3 weeks and I have not hit $200 yet. Some of the ads I am paying around $8 a click.


My website has gone from about 20 people a day visiting Mon-Friday to 8 a day.

I wish I could say its my rankings.

Anyone else notice a drop?

Well I did notice a drop in search ranking and not PPC. Google just did another PR update, and it is looking like they will be doing one about every month or sooner now. When this happens pages shift in the search engine until they get stuff settled. I moved to page two on Google but it takes about a week after the PR update to get things back to normal again.

Have you changed anything on your PPC campaign? Do you normally see higher traffic running the same ads with the same settings?

Its my first PPC in about 4 years.

I am just seeing an overall drop in visitors to my site.

My rankings are very high to the point where I am listed on the first page for all my search terms and most terms I am in the top 3 spots a long with a being #1 on PPC.

I think there is a lack of traffic and maybe its just for my state?
