Easy Pick Offs

I just had to get 24 credit hours of CE and what your describing to me sounds like twisting and misrepresentation. I do believe there is a fine line between manipulating, misrepresentation and out and out fraud. You are in that grey area that they spent about ten pages talking about. I think its just a question of ethics. You know what your doing is misleading and .probably out and out fraud, yet you have justified it in your own mind. And that makes it ok.

I did notice you said nothing about the State Guaranty Fund, but I would be willing to bet that you do when your in front of a client. Which I believe is a no no., yet other agents also do that on a continual basis, also.

Replacing a policy because it is a fraternal is a scare tactic, plain and simple. Your suggesting that there is something wrong with a fraternal has no merit, it is your opinion but it is not based on fact. It is a statement designed to mislead in hopes of writing some new business. Twisting

This is a pretty damning post, with nothing to back it up, just what you have thought up in your mind that he might be doing/you believe he could be doing/probably possibly doing.
Just nothing to back up a pretty serious allegation.
I like you, NFL. But your post crosses a line beyond professionalism, bordering on slander.

Thanks for the input guys!!! (Didn't mean to start a fight).

Slander is a serious crime. That's why I call people mfers instead of sobs. I have more of a chance at being right. :-)

Easy guys, we are in a stressful business, during stressful times. This reminds me that Todd King has a saying. " Do the right thing, simply because its the right thing to do". :D

I misspoke saying I do not write any Fraternal because I have written a few this year. Maybe three. But like you, I am sure, I explained the difference between a certificate and a policy.

My main suggestion on something being wrong is with Foresters' service during underwriting, in force service, and claims. Your experience may be different than mine.

I think you may have missed some of my points.

Here is my post again.

Lee>""Personally I do not single them or any other company out. Including AARP, LH UHL or any of the other hated companies. Nor do I replace policies over $5. differences in premium. Price is only one consideration.

I explain to clients that I personally do not write or own any Fraternal certificates. I then educate them on the some of the differences. But mostly I talk about my and others service and claims experience with Foresters. I explain my recommendations and they decide. I do not use any closing techniques or hard sell anyone.

If I felt they were a good choice for my clients I would write them. I just feel that there are better choices for them. They would not be a first choice for my family.""

Now they may be your best recommendation to your clients. That is awesome. They are not mine.

I just reread about 20 pages on twisting, misrepresentation and fraud etc. from NobleCE. They don't mince their words when it comes to Twisting, Misrepresentation and being unethical.

By planting a seed in a fraternal "certificate holders" mind that they have something inferior to a policy is very misleading, unethical and more than likely considered twisting. It is clearly a misrepresentation with the intent of obtaining a new commission.

For arguments sake take it a step further. I write between 8 and 10 Foresters policies a month. Would it be right for me to go into a home of a client and when I find out he has a Forester's Certificate plant a very fertile seed suggesting he would be much better served if he held a policy? And then throw in that I have seen a lot of agents complain about their customer service, and to top it all of the State Guaranty Fund might not cover them if they were to go bad. Of course not mentioning that that has not happened in 141 years.

It is very easy to paint a very bad picture of a company especially when replacement is on your mind.
