Equita and Securus Guys, Step Inside Please...

My experience at EFES, anytime I want a training ride, I just meet my manager in his territory, and watch him present his leads.
He will also let me present, usually he takes over for the final close. There is always a 'code' that means I need to hand it over to him if the lead starts getting squirley early into the presentation.
It's not a bad deal...I haven't paid for these leads, I don't burn my gas, I get to make presentations w/o risk, and get good feedback in the end. The hardest part is getting him to pull over for a bathroom break! haha

I don't think I've ever taken him into my territory with my leads to split 50%. Why screw up my leads, when I can screwe up his for free, lol.
He never asks me to pay for lunch, and he dosn't pay for mine.

For his brand new agents, the built in lag time of getting mail in is a perfect opprotunity to ride with him all week...no charge!

Cmon...the dropout rate is so high, and it really is a PITA to have a rider...how much investment is a manager really expected to put into someone that has a 50% chance of making it more than 1 month.

When I was talking about buying lunch it was for a guy that was offering to train a person from whom he received no overwrite of any kind.. He often offers to help agents with a ride along out of his desire to simply help and is not getting paid anything for it. I think in that case, a lunch would be a fair show of appreciation.. (BTW.. to my knowledge he has never asked for lunch or anything else for helping another agent.)

So far some pretty good info on EFES.
If one contracts with them and the wheels are moving and everything is going good, do they give you an option of building a down line?

another question,
My understanding is EFES issues you 2 agent numbers to write business under, one for EFES leads and one for your own leads. When you generate your own leads what is the commission % or does that differ agent to agent?

Can someone enlighten me on which way to go with Equita? Should I take the higher payout and pay for my own leads or take the lower payout still pay a portion of my leads but get a consistent flow of leads each week???

If you are new to the bus I would take the lower payout and buy the leads. You can always change after you get some experience, they don't lock you in for life. You can even do it both ways at the same time but I wouldn't right off the bat. Get the ball rolling first.

I know you caught some grief for posting the question several times. You are new and don't realize how this works. Posting the same thing multiple times causes many of us grief because we skim the posts and it's annoying to waste time reading the same one over an over. Protocol says you post one time.

Welcome to the forum. Hang in there and you will find this place very valuable to your career.

AND keep your eye open for a guy named JDEASY on this forum. He is a leader there and very open to helping. You can pick up some really great stuff from him

What's the hurry?

Something I've noticed over the years is the tendency of some newbies to need to know everything about everything - it's a form of "paralysis by analysis" (a thousand questions is a good indicator).

They are very rarely successful in this business. I even stopped hiring them!

The winning combination is someone who will take something and run with it - figuring it out on the fly, and fixing it as they go along...
:D
I agree the best way is to jump in and start swimming! Ax (been hanging in the hood, lol) for help AS MUCH AS NECESSARY , from the home even or on here, and get out there and see those peeps. It really is not hard. I trained my 13 year old daughter today! But seriously I was all nervous at first and just got some leads and started doing it as best as possible (No insurance experience -sales tons though) and it is pretty much easiest sales I ever got. Worst part for me is ALL the driving. If I could morph over to them ....

I'll most certainly agree with that!

Can anyone recommend a really good Equita Mgr. who is willing to work with new agents in the San Antonio, TX area and who is genuinely interested in helping them become successful?

Thanks for your help.
