Equita Final Expense Contracting

I have tried to access EFESONLINE.COM and coming up with a blank page. Are they still in business just curious kinda liked what I have read about them..

I guess I just don't get it. How does a final expense agent feel like he's trapped?

You have Settlers, Oxford, RNA, Monumental, UHL, Assurity, Baltimore Life, Lincoln Heritage, Mutual of Omaha, Forresters, Americo, Lafayette, and dozens more all wanting you to sell for them and offering great commissions.

No one can hold ANYONE captive in this business. Don't try to cling to one company or one brand. There is no company that has a huge advantage over any other.

Maybe your not captive, but not being able to get a release can mess you up. Suppose you have a person 5'3" 300LBs that can't answer a phone interview and you can't write RNA cause it was with Equita, or say you got a person who is taking a drug for some reason other than the question on the app, only Americo doesn't do a prescription drug check. You need several carriers for those situations or odd circumstances. If you can't move your contract you are screwed.

Much easier said than done... Most agents do not have the "deep pockets" or know enough people to generate their leads.

For those interested the "release" did not happen.. I do have a company that runs a close second to RNA, but since this thread is focused on getting released from EFES I thought I would update everyone.

Equita's selling point is their lead program. If you generate your own lead, you have a whole lot more options.
They have the deep pockets to mail, but they don't have the intelligence to know where to mail. You can increase your returns by eliminating filters. If you eliminate the income (under 15K) filters, you'll get a bunch of leads that you wouldn't if you eliminated that group of people by using a filter.
Equita mailed out for me three weeks of leads in one of the poorest areas of GA. I was in competition with the debit agent and managed to write 3 folks with no checking account. Hope they stay on the books.
Hopefully I can pay for all those worthless leads when Medicare season gets here.

GENERAL RESPONCE: Not directed to any single comment...
Keep in mind. If you contract DOWN-LINE from an MGA or another agent the only contract you are bound to is the carrier contract.

If you have done your research and you know you will learn a method that will keep you in front of new interested prospects every week, then you should jump into the program with both feet.

If you feel like you need a pre-nump before you start then you do not need to get married. Plain and simple.
If you didn't know, when you enter a business partnership you are getting married whether you like it or not....

By the way, if you are going to get married and you have trust issues then please do not pull the trigger.
MY BILL IS IN THE MAIL!!

:twitchy:
The issue has to do with something not listed in the carrier contract. The need for a release has to do with carrier policies to require either a release from the MGA or 6 - 12 months on non-production with said carrier to move your contract.

I've just contracted with EFES and I could care less if I can get released in under 6 months. I don't see any reason why I won't be successful using their system , but If it doesn't work out I will just keep writing the products that I have been for the past 5 years.
