Reminded of this whenever buying a lead from one company then getting the same lead from another company arriving with in minutes of each other in my inbox.
how many other agents am i competing against for this one lead that is only supposed to be sold to 5 other agents.

5 other agents per subsidiary account, which is pretty much limitless.
Not to mention the fact that the "lead" has probably filled out 5 or more forms trying to get that free iPad.
Funny story though. I once filled out a lead form, just to see how many calls I would get. I only got one, from an agency that used an autodialer to call me. They called me every day for about a month, and then stopped.
