I just went through the prep course and exam for Colorado Life, Accident & Health and since I passed on the first attempt, I thought I would share my experience. I used an online course offered by Testeachers Online (TESTEACHERS ONLINE - ONLINE VIDEO INSURANCE AND SECURITIES EXAM PREP) for about $150. They provided written material, video and audio making it easy to use whichever approach works best for you. They had a variety of practice exams that I found appropriately more challenging than the actual exam (no question that if you can pass their practice exams, you won't have any trouble with the actual license exam). Also, and probably most important, they did not waste time covering items that aren't covered on the exam. Everything covered in the course was relevant to what is on the exam. I spent about 2 weeks studying (avg about 3 hours a day), and I had no problem passing.
I am sure I will use them again when time comes for my Series 6.
