F.E.

I didn't say write them off because NAA does business with them. But, NAA doesn't just do business with Foresters. They are partners with Foresters.

Just keep writing Foresters. Once you have done business with them for a while, you will come to understand waht I say about them.
You are mis-representing the situation.

Jdeasy also likes to misrepresent selling FE over the phone. But I still like him as he is a good producer as has plenty of experience.

No I'm not. What do you think I'm misrepresenting? The partnership between NAA and Foresters?

If I'm misrepresenting that, it's been misrepresented to me by Foresters and NAA.

I have never once misrepresented selling FE over the phone. I say that there are less than FE telesales agents in the country that actually make over $100,000/yr after lead costs. That's not misrepresenting, that's just how it is.

Either intentionally or unintentionally, I don't know which, you are attempting to make it sound like NAA is an equity partner and has ownership in Foresters. This simply is not the truth.

They are nothing more than a MARKETING PARTNER with exclusive rights to market a product that was developed for them by Foresters. This is no different than many of the proprietary products marketed by organizations all over the country. NAA does not have ownership, management or decision making authority with Foresters.

The meeting I sat in with NAA and Foresters they told us that they were equity partners and NAA had ownership. That was sold to us as great thing because, at some point, the agents were going to be albe to share in that ownership as well.

The Foresters brochures that used by NAA agents even hav ethe NAA logo printed on them. Every call I was on with Foresters, they referred to the "partnership" and how different it was than just being a marketing partner.

Maybe that's changed? I haven't been on one of those calls in over 2 years. I did just terminate my contract with Foresters in Dec. although I am still vested with them.

Obviously you and I have been given different stories.

An NAA logo printed on a Foresters brochure is nothing more than cobranding. You can put your own agency logo on a Foresters brochure. All they require is that you submit it to them first for approval.

I think the ownership you are referring to is a profit sharing agreement in their proprietary product, which would not be out of the ordinary.

Foresters having $6 BILLION DOLLARS in assets, well over a hundred year track record and more than $1 BILLION DOLLARS in surplus, does not need NAA as a partner and would have no reason to do so.

If they did need a business partner I could see Goldman Sachs maybe... but NAA... no way!

Jdeasy, since you won't answer my question, I'm assuming you haven't written much FE with Foresters??

Their prices are in line with Royal Neighbors and just a few dollars shy of Oxford Life.

Their underwriting is very liberal and done during the phone interview. There is no underwriting after you leave the customers home.

Forester's sales staff always answers the phone and are quick to help you with any of your needs (quotes, questions, underwriting etc).

Also, they are quick to pay the agent and quick to issue the policy.

I would write for them any day for their FE over all other companies.

So can you please tell us what you dislike so much about their Final Expense?

I did answer your question. I haven't written a single FE app with Foresters.

I already said I don't like Foresters and neither will you after you have done business with them for a while.

Thank you for the insight...

You can be a smartass all you want. This time last year you were singing the praises of SD and EFES. You even went out and bought the same clothes and briefcase to be like SD.

It won't take another year for you to on here trashing Foresters. I just called it first.
