Family First Life question

goillini52, are you looking for something or just trying to be hostile?

I'm always recruiting. I'm in this business . . . my business, not some "pump". I'm a pro, not a hustler.

If you're not recruiting to somebody (prospective agents, prospective clients, prospective partners), you're dying.

Want to learn from the best?
You might want to reread the rules. You're not supposed to recruit right out of the gate, no matter how sly you think you are about it.

ttaleg, that's some good thinking. You mentioned an office. Are you thinking you'll work for a producer or a general agent in your area? Regardless of whether you choose a "captive" agency or an independent, be sure there is a structured training process. Also, ensure that the person designated to be your mentor is truly that. Test drive your mentor.

Best of success to you!

Gollini 52, Thomas,

I found your first impression almost as offensive and negative as your second.

I'm here to recruit, sell and promote info, experience, expertise and perspective for agents of all levels of development. Leave the webmaster work to the webmaster. If I'm overstepping or violating the rules, Sam will tell me. He doesn't need your help and I don't need your negative input. Do us both a favor and delete me from your future posts.
:twitchy:

What's wrong with working with a small independent agency who teaches the business, shares good experience, treats everyone like adults and provides the support agents need?

That's what a new agent (0-2 years) really needs. The MLM companies (I call them "pumps") work the numbers; that is, they recruit you and 200 others to get one good agent. A small agency can't afford to do that. Instead, they try to vet agents, bring them on and teach them a good process, helping an agent build a successful career. The MLM thing will be over pretty soon, so if you're going that way, get while the getting is good!

Questions?
What makes you think the "MLM thing will be over pretty soon"??

MLM is not good for this business. You need to learn this business. How would you like to be treated by an MLM doctor?

MLM is a hustle. Financial services is a career. MLM is short term. Career is long term.

Hope that helps.

I agree with you 100%. It's exactly what is wrong with this business. It brings a lot of financially struggling agents in that get horrible training and little chance of making it 1-year.

But it ain't going anywhere. The agencies doing it are making too much money.

They are, for now. We can only control what we can.

What's right with this business is that people need help and we need agents who are committed to the client rather than themselves who are teachable and diligent.
