Farmers Insurance Reserve Agent Program

If you are currently a reserve agent with Farmers....You need to run!

You're ignorant. I got my best friend into farmers with me, he is in career status an ytd written 500+ PIF. It's a business, run if you don't know how to run an agency.

Good luck and more power to you and your friend. I just resign from Farmers recently, after a 4.5 years. During the time spent I achieve big blue vase, topper, championship, silver star, new business award and went on numerous company trip. I was loosing way too many policies due to in-competitive rates and the recent rate increase would make me a Fred Flintstone if I stick around. Luckily had the opportunity to get some direct appointments. For me I couldn't be happier to be an independent agent better carriers with better rates. For me it is about providing a secure financial future for my family first, farmers only cares about farmers they don't really care about their agency force.

Two things. Either you and your friend are selling insurance in a small town middle of nowhere or you guys have drank the kool aid and didn't read your contract.

Which is it?

Uh option 3 which you haven't heard about, we can sell anything to anyone.

888 sounds like you had a good opportunity pop up and took advantage of it. Not saying independent is better or worse each has its advantages. But I can say even you appointed companies will take rate when they need to and not care about you. However you'll be able to move them where as I can't. Congrats on the direct appointments.

You're definitely a DM's dream come true. Just make sure you stick with it after you career cause beyond that point a person is screwed and there's no turning back.

I careered 3 yrs ago. Ya I owe back 34,00 but my book is worth 340,000 - 440000 (1.5-2% renewals) if I sold it. The option to sell our books is how Farmers became a much better agent focused opportunity.

That is bunch of crap. There is no way your book can be worth over 300k in just three years. We have agents with over 15 years with Farmers with a PIF of over 2000 and their book is not worth that much.

LOL....who told you your book was worth that much after 3 years?! That's funny.

I have just under 2,600 PIF, and if you knew anything your book value is based on profitability, renewal income and retention ratio. I'm done talking to you retard...also my avg home premium in Texas is 1,500. I make probably 2-3 times more being in Texas than other agents.
