Does anyone have a fax # to fax in a cancellation letter to Bankers Life for Medicare supplements. I've mailed in the cancellation letter, but I"d also like to fax it. I'm worried they'll say they never received the letter

I don't have a fax number..but I guess you could call customer service and ask...Never had a problem with mailing in a cancellation notice.

Each department is different and has a different fax, so best thing is to call their customer service and ask for the Med Sup department's fax number. I hope that helps and follow up, ethics is not at the top of their list.

The last time I had a customer try and cancel their Med supp policy with Banker's Life we called and mailed in the letter. It still took them 2 months to stop the deductions. That's why I was hoping for a fax #, Maybe, that would
be a better option

Have the client do it. I would never get involved in canceling a med supp policy that you are replacing.

The client will have to call or fax to their local Bankers office to cancel. Have them mail it certified if you are worried about them claiming they did not receive it.

You're better off dealing with the home office. It's the local branches that drop the ball on most of that stuff. HO is decent, most of the time.

She's still in her Open enrollment period. She's guaranteed issue with the new company. I switched her from a Bankers Plan G at 145 a month to a Plan F 101 a month. - not much liability in this case other than getting Bankers to cancel the policy

I don't know about their med sups, but, I have replaced a bunch of Banker's FE policies. They are quite easy to cancel with. We call the toll free number from the client's home and the system is automated to stop the monthly draft. Once stopped and the number pressed to cancel, they say they will send a form to the client for signature.

I like that they make it so easy to stop doing business with them.
