I use a fancy tablet with a "Hot Spot" connection to my cell phone.
Works anywhere the cell phone works!
It takes a little time to figure out how to do but if I can do it, you can too!

it seems like it would take a while to type in an application on a cell phone. Would an I pad work better? the keys are better

I use an ipad Air2 wifi only. I turn a hotspot on using my iphone and I'm up and running within 30 seconds. Works great for Americo eagle, Omaha Living Promise, UHL, Foresters Advantage Plus and SPWL, as well as Gerber, GW or AIG.

If you wana get fancy and have a ipad pro or stylus grab notiblity which comes in handy for that peaky service work form you forgot.

90% of what was just said is Greek to me. I did just scan my first ever application to SNL yesterday. Hot spot, Air2, ipad pro , stylus. Where should I go to find out about this stuff and also to buy?

Go to the Apple Store near you. Tell the person what you want it for. They're very helpful.
I use an older iPad with cellular data on AT&T. It's only about $15 more per month on a shared data plan and works much better for me than using my phone as a hotspot. It's also possible to do the apps on a phone, but impractical.

Isn't it difficult or time consuming typing words such as doctor information, meds, and bank information. Do you have a keyboard for your iPad? I use a Surface Pro. I bought it originally thinking I would use it as a tablet part of the time. I never undoc the keyboard. I can click the check boxes on an app pretty quickly with the stylus but typing on a keyboard seems easier.

I have been slower than some to embrace technology. However, it certainly makes me more efficient.

I bought a Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad. It's been sitting on the shelf since about a month after I got it. It couldn't keep up with my typing, even though I'm not all that fast! I have a feeling the Surface Pro keyboard is more responsive.

It is very responsive. May be because it docks to the Surface.

It is my main computer. At my desk it is in a docking station and I use a Bluetooth full size keyboard and mouse.

My iPad Pro has the Smart Keyboard case. It allows me to type as fast as needed, but also folds to the back when I only need the tablet function.

I agree that typing on the actual iPad or a phone (like I'm doing now) is a pain.

I also bought a foldable Keyboard that is linked to my iPhone. It is smaller than my phone when folded, but Pops open to a full size keyboard. I carry it everywhere with me. It allows me to text, type in the Agent Hotline, or send emails a whole lot faster.
