FE Diabetic Client Placement Help

Hello FE experts,

New agent here, and I am trying to get used to the FE companies and figuring out where to find the best coverage for these sick people I keep running into!

Male, age 60, insulin dependent(diagnosed at age 30), heart attack 7 years ago along with stent placement, pacemaker installed 5 years ago, 40 units of insulin a day.

Companies I carry are:RNA, AM CON, and Americo. Trying to see if their is anything better than AM CON modified which is what I came up with. Willing to look at other carriers if I can find one that would help. Am Con Modified is $44.58 for $7,500.

Also his wife is 49 with no health issues besides taking Keppra. Any competitive carriers that issue below age 50 besides AM CON?

Thanks,

AO

What age did he start using insulin? 5-Star Prefered if the insulin wasn't before age 40.

While I would hate to promote them I'm pretty sure LH would do immediate benefit for him. For the wife, why not use Essential Life? You said you already have RNA.

It is a $25,000 minimum so you could use Monumental for her. Also Monumental for him but it would be at standard rates.

I wanted to write essential life, but she says she can't afford more than $10 a month for coverage........Is there anyway I can run quotes for MON without having a contract with them? By the way, I am on your team and have just started at EFES, thanks for all the good insight on the conference calls and in the university!;)

You mean you are on the same team as I am? Do you mean EFES or are you under Travis? Anyway, $10,000 for her with Mon is $24.70/mo. If she wants to stay at $10/mo then she need to look elsewhere. I wouldn't spend much time on that one.

Yeah I am with Travis. She is about to sign up for that AARP term for $10 a month because she if more worried about her husband who has the health issues and is ten years older. She figures she can still get coverage in the future if her health has not changed. She had all the paperwork for the AARP term coverage all filled out but she had not sent it in because she thought it was "too good too be true" LOL! Thanks for the Monumental quote. Maybe I can find her a term policy for $10 a month if that is what she wants.........

Just write him and then go back in a few years and rewrite her after the AARP goes up.

Several of the main points don't seem realistic on this case.

Most diabetics don't start insulin in their 30's but only use 40-units daily in their 60s.

Are you sure he wasn't diagnosed with diabetes in his thirties but took oral meds for many years before starting insulin injections?

don't waste time on a $10 per month case.
