FE Lead - Miselading??

It is probably Senior Select out of Lagrange, Georgia. That lead looks to be word for word what I saw from them. And you are right about the repsonse...when I ran them most of the responses assumed it free benefit from the government.

I bought some leads that had the "social security benefit" wording and it didn't go too well. I did have a few people actually accuse me of misleading them.

I guess mailers still work but people get so much junk mail these days. It's obvious why a lead card would use wording like "Social Security" or "Government Approved Program". Obviously it gets people's attention.

A super nice glossy postcard sized mailer from Monumental, 5 Star, or whomever is likely going to be tossed in the garbage. Maybe it's just me but everything in my mailbox gets tossed other than bills :(

Hmm, maybe that's the secret! Send them a fake bill for the funeral cost of a fictitious loved one (like an $8000 bill!). Make it look very authentic and at the very end explain this is what the average funeral bill could look like.

....and if you don't want your cherished loved ones to be burdened with a similar bill than call today for information on affordable burial insurance.

Genius!

You may be on to something...

Just print it on that paper type bills come on (you guys know what I'm talking about) and use one of those envelopes with the big plastic see through window to make it look even more important.

No clue how people will react or respond but I guarantee they will open and read it!

:D

Have to confess that I usually open the ones that look like checks............................................ But as soon as I see it isn't actually a check, into the can it goes.

That's ok, opening and looking is 2 steps above blindly tossing in the garbage!

You might even pause to consider a company just sent you a fake bill to make a point. Maybe after a few hours the concept of that really expensive funeral bill will have an effect.

I don't know, just trying to think beyond our current options which I'm no fan of.

There is a simple reason that everyone uses the old $255 SS Benefit mailer. It works.

Agents come and go that try to reinvent the wheel. I di it myself with trying to design the perfect leadpiece and I believe I succeeded in doing so.

However, getting 1, 2 or 3 of the perfect leads back from a 1000 piece mailer is not cost effective.

Today since I pay a set price per lead I want to say life insurance on it and I want it mailed and returned 1st class.

If I were paying for my own mailers now I would make it as vague as possible to get the highest return.

You might as well cold call instead of sending out vague DM.
