FE persistency

I have sold a ton of AmAm-but they are by no means the 'best' by any definition. For telesales, some IMO's like them because they consider telesales friendly, and better than the other telesales friendly alternatives. Plus higher commissions than cheaper options. That is a subjective argument at best.

While I have not had a bad experience with them, there are a lot of companies I have NO experience with, so I can't really weigh in the way others can. Their opinions are not discounted because they don't match the experience I had. If anything, their experience with multiple carriers give their opinion more weight IMO.

Maybe if they don't mind writing folks ROP or graded, when they could get Level coverage elsewhere.
The first four years of my career, AmAm was ALL I could sell through my IMO. What you just said is exactly why wanted to switch to an independent IMO. I hated putting people with COPD/seizures/weight/etc on ROP when they could easily be level.

I switched about a year ago to an independent IMO, I still led with AmAm just due to being so comfortable with the underwriting and process, I didnt want to switch everything 100% right off the bat. My goal was basically to work my way into a good carrier mix over time, rather than swap over 100% of my business at once and find out the hard way that a carrier was not working for me.
So far:
--Accendo----great experience. Everything I put with them would have been ROP with AmAm. Persistency is great and needed very little conservation effort.
--Great Western---Meh-I was only using them for direct express/debit card/GI, so I dont expect much, just trying to break even on the money I have already spent on these leads, which is about what it has been so far.
-Prosperity----Horrible experience, much worse than the 'meh for GW. Never again (especially because almost every niche they have, accendo also has.
-Mutual of omaha-Added a few months ago-tougher telesales process than AmAm, but better rates.
---CICA-Currently contracting with them-As long as there are no glaring persistency or placement difference when I start using them, their niches would eliminate the needs for Accendo/GW.

In those states which companies are competitive with Am Am that ARE telesales carriers ..? Any ..?
Ah HA!!! ... I got you?
You are not 'getting' someone when you limit the parameters like that.

I can honestly say I am the fastest runner in the WHOLE WORLD (among males between ages 30-40 who have the same 2 parents as me). See how those parameters limit the scope? It really doesn't mean much when my siblings and I are super slow runners.

May I ask who your IMO was in the first 4 years? I'm asking because I may have an offer to work with this agency who does the same thing ... they are captive with Am am ... was your former IMO telesales based?

I do not write their graded products. I use other carriers to get level coverage if it's possible.

your statement is false. There are agents that are knocking it out of the park with senior life and Lincoln heritage strictly writing one company.

The way you described yourself you sound pretty insecure sound like a week Agent. How old are you?

Illuminating what you said about having to put people with a modified plan instead of level ... I don't wanna be that guy ... we have douche bags in Medicare also believe me ...

I have a hard time misleading clients ... maybe I'm a fool ... I dunno ...

For anyone reading this, I promise you don't get 30 minute hold times with Am Am. I've had and written Am Am for most of the time I've been in the business. I have never had a 30 minute hold time with them. So that's quite the exaggeration from the know-it-alls who only think they know it all!

Wrong again. Just had a 40 minute hold time with AmAm an hour ago.

it was on our chat that another agent was number 52 in que.

You simply do not know what you're talking about or you are lying.

If anyone doubts it then just call them and see.
