Senior Life Ins. Co. to the rescue. GI up to 10k, daughter signs as the owner, beneficiary, and payor. Inclues double face amount for accidental death.
Incarcerated proposed insured does not need to sign.

I don't know why you couldn't use a GI. You might have to go visit him and do an e-app. I don't know if the guards would let him hold a pen to sign a paper app, he might stab somebody with it.
