FE Question

The FE industry is NOT ready for FE telesales on a mass scale. This is completely correct!

An indy agent (or a small operation) might be able to get by, but if youre doing 5mil+ youre going to have a tough time scaling.

Carriers simply dont understand the agent, or the process.

The only carrier that has an idea of what they are doing is American Amicable.

Everyone else is behind the times.

Wrong answer! Sr. Life (The Powell's) were the originators of FE tele-sales. This was back around 2004 I believe. They have agents doing FE tele-sales at the home office and at agents' offices and agents' homes. Simple voice sig, short 3 or 4 min. recording. I don't know how American Amicable's operation works.

There is nothing short about a four minute recording in telesales.

AmAm's voice sig is 30 seconds, 15 seconds if you talk fast.

I believe you and I are talking about 2 different things. How can you ask all health questions, review name, address, b'date, bene's names, draft date, bank info, etc. in a 15-30 second recording?

With SL only the agent and proposed insured are on the phone doing the 4 min. recording going over this info.

Um no. What you are referring to is the amam voice sig thing that the agent actually records and sends to amam. You are completely forgetting the call with Aptical to qualify the client.

Granted, amam's voice sig is by far the shortest, but you are leaving out a huge part of the process.

IN all honesty, the phone interview, recording takes about 10 minutes. Reading the disclosures, etc. adds to it. But it is a pretty simple process doing the tele-app with Senior LIfe.

My main gripe is on the back end and lack of communication on pending apps. I'm sure they are working on improving all of this, as their new application process and MIB/Rx checks are only about 6 months old

Our voice signature doesnt require us to verify all that information.

Its a 30 second voice signature.

I believe we are talking about the same thing.

Approximately how long is Am Am application start to finish, including the aptical call?

Only asking, as when we do the interview for their NON Med. term products for my Diabetes clients, it takes 30-40 minutes. NOt joking. Their interview process is a joke, and the questions they ask are absurd

First, we dont call Apptical.

We call DIMA, and thats only if its an immediate plan.

Our average DIMA call is less than 10minutes.

They pull prescriptions and give us an approval on the phone.

Stil the best on the market, for sure.

Not including the sales pitch the application takes this long:

ROP Plan: 15-30 seconds to do a voice signature and 5 minutes to do the application once the client is off the phone

Immediate Plan: 15-30 seconds to do a voice signature, 7 to 10 minute DIMA call (decision on the spot), and 5 minutes to do the application once the client is off the phone.
