Feedback on Equis Financial?

Cleveland is one heck of a rough market....what concerns me is that you're a Cav's fan!

Hmmmmm!:swoon:
Rough market is an understatement! Lol

I was in Cleveland when Lebron left the Cavs to go to the Heat. There was a huge Nike poster the length of a 4 story building of Lebron that was tore down that night. All that was on the news was fans downtown burning his jerseys together. 0_0

Hey guys, I've been considering a career change into insurance sales. Today I responded to a craigslist post from Equis for independent contractor. Just been reading up on the company. Feeling a little discouraged at the moment haha I live in southeast ,Ga and would really love to pursue a career in insurance sales. Any info that will help me is much appreciated.

Believe what you're reading. They have low comp, expensive leads and they are a churn and burn operation. Way better options out there...keep researching. Good luck to you.

Wow, great thread with plenty of bad advice... Here is something to think about that hasn't been mentioned!

Hey guys,

Equis will release any agent with no objection. If you don't want to be there, they don't want you. They also do not keep recurring annual commissions as some have stated. Never have, never will.

They do offer a great bonus structure with increasing manager bonuses. One thing that particularly sets Equis apart is the Equity Bonus. I don't know of too many companies that offer an Equity Bonus that will allow you as a manager to over-ride the entire company.

As for leads - leads across the board with companies I've checked out average $30 - $70, some higher, a few lower for fresh leads. At $41 per fresh lead, that puts Equis on the low end! It's $600 or more to do your own 1000 piece mailing with 1/2 = 1% return. I'll take advantage of the leads Equis offers from $2 - $40's any day!

I have found great support from not only my manager as I build my agency but across the board from anyone I've reached out for. I have no doubt that I'll get alot of negative feedback here but I'm open to discussing, not dissing anything I've said and will be happy to connect you with people far more experienced than I who can answer you questions and these untrue comments.
Let's do our best to keep it professional here and verify our information before we put it out there. Good video Doug, by the way. I enjoy your training.

So you don't think you could be more successful with higher contracts and cheaper leads that are FRESHER, better worded and never resold? You might not bring as many agents on, but you'd be able to offer them very high comp so they can stay. I just had an agent move to me from Equis. He was on a 70% and paying 40ish per lead. Now he is on 130 and pays $28 per lead with me. He is in a position to make a lot of money for his family without having to recruit anyone.
