Signed up for the FEX quote engine using a link found on Mark Rosenthal's site. Seems to be a good tool but I have a question. How long does it take them to update the information? The premiums and the issue limits aren't current. For, example Settlers will now issue their Gold Plan up to $35,000 but the engine will not quote anything over $25,000. Plus, they do not quote the Silver II plan at all and it has been on the market for several months. If I am going to pay a couple of hundred dollars per year for the service, I want current information.

You could give them a call....

I have filed a support request with them.. Figure they will answer it next week... But I would like some feedback from others who use the service what to expect based on their promptness in updating the information in the past. The new Settlers underwriting and premiums have been in effect for over 2 months. If you are depending upon the service for accurate quote comparisons, that is a long time to be providing erroneous information to clients. The Silver II plan has been on the market for over a year.

It may be because the silver 2 plan is not in the regular Settlers rate book. It probably got overlooked. Just send them the rate card and any other info you found is incorrect and they are usually very quick to update.

Adam is good about updating the prices. I also know he is adding more F.E. Companies.

But anyone that find an error just email [email protected] and Adam will fix it.

If you find an error, just email him and also if you have the new rates, forward the data to him also.

Actually, they have a half dozen FE companies. And have added any that I ask them to. I had them put on RNA, Oxford and Columbian. They also have Foresters.

Just saying.

Yes, but I will say, that the only significant issue I have with Compulife is that in order to run a FE quote, the "Type of Insurance" must be one of the "To Age 121 Level" products. Personally, I wish they would rename these categories to start with the words "Final Expense", followed by the actual policy type. The reason being, is that people who go to a website, and who don't want term, may not know what the heck "To age 121" means, or at least that it is the same as a simplified issue $10,000 final expense policy. I have had more people email me asking about that. Gets kinda old.

I do like how they have a sample quoting engine available in a website integrated format. Life Insurance Quotes

FEX looks pretty cool though, I will add. I wish they had a site like Compulife where you could actually RUN a quote, instead of having to sign up for a trial first. If anyone knows of one, I'd be interested in running a few just to check it out.

I agree. Mark has it on his site and you can run a couple quotes on his companies. I am thinking about giving it a shot. Just do not know if it would be redundant with compulife which I use daily.

That is a good idea on the to age 121 to Permanent maybe. May be an issue with that the GULs are so flexible.
