Final Expense Carriers

I probably don't give them a fair chance. I don't like the fact that they charge back 100% for death on their graded. I don't like the fact that they are FB. I'm a union guy at heart and FB is the sworn enemy of unions here in Ky. Probably everywhere else too.

Ok, most of the times I can figure out the acronyms, but this time I gotta ask. What's "FB"?

Thanks, and sorry for my ignorance!

I'm thinking Farm Bureau maybe?

I have no idea why unions don't like Farm Bureau. Is any insurance company pro union?

Yes, UHL is Farm Bureau. I'm sure there are not any insurance company out there that is pro union. There is a difference in being non union and actively anti union. The Ky Farm Bureau actively lobbies against the working men and women of the Commonwealth.

Most insurance companies try to make the appearance of being politically neutral and do their dirty work behind the scenes. Farm Bureau makes no secret of their political leanings.

That's fine, they are free to do that. I am am also free to disagree with them. I've never claimed to be a good at PC.

In my case they were the carrier of last resort, so, I wasn't putting great clients with them to start with. But, on almost everyone they told me at the end of the phone interview that there were some "issues" they needed to look into and would get back to me.

The graded that was declined was because of being in the hospital too many times. The question asks about being in the hospital for other than minor things, or something like that. He had been in the hospital for minor things. UHL didn't agree, but, they didn't agree until a week later. I referred the guy out to an LH agent and he got him approved for immediate coverage for less premium than UHL's graded.

I personally would cross out UHL, I have tried, tried, tried, to give UHL business I have 5 deasl this year alone that UHL has decided to declined for silly reasons that Foresters will accept in a matter of 9 minutes. Apprently UHL does not need the business so I would not waste my time on them.

I don't use UHL because if your prospect is under the age of 65 and on disability you automatically have to write the Graded Death benefit plan.

What kind of comp does forresters pay, where's the best place to get contracted? Does anybody have an app I can see to determine where to place someone?

I am in Indiana, are the applications the same? I knew when I asked the best place to get contracted I would get some responses........
