Final Expense Coverage

No I got it, but you provided good information, so i let it go. Besides i just had a question, I will remember to use this forum for entertainment only from now on!

Thank you very much!

and MPS see how a professional forum is suppose to work?

The problem here is what you already said, 99.9% of your work is not FE (your numbers, not mine).

Honestly, I don't think you're helping your clients. Aside from not knowing what carriers are competitive, which in and of itself is perfectly understandable, you are shopping for a $10k benefit for both of them because that's what they told you they were looking for.

You may already have a chip on your shoulder about the tone of things, but here is some advice that is most likely worth much more than you paid for it:

You should be selling life insurance for a need, i.e., funeral cost, pay of a house, pay for kids college, wealth transfer, etc. It's entirely possible that they are both looking for the same benefit because they have the same need (odds are neither of them are working, both would have the same ss income in the event of the others passig, etc), but it doesn't sound like you've done your fact finding. You're treating life insurance like it's some commodity, but what you should be doing is understanding what your client needs and selling to that. If one of them dies with the other one receive all of the same income (less the SS) that they would have otherwise? Will they have additional expenses associated with the death of their spouse?

Some points to consider:

Is the need to cover the cost of a funeral? If she is 4 years younger and they are both in decent health, statistically speaking she will live at least 6 years after he dies. $10k will barely cover the cost of a funeral today, let alone whenever he passes away or 6 years after that when she passes away. No one can tell when death will occur for them, but those are the rough statistics.
Is the life insurance actually being purchased to cover the cost of the funeral, or is it for another purpose like credit card debt? If it is to cover the cost of the funeral, does it include enough money for expenses outside of the funeral, i.e. travel to visit family associated with the funeral, medical expenses prior to death, etc.

The bottom line is that you're not knowing what carriers are competitive isn't really the main issue here, it's that because you don't do this you don't know what you're doing. Not knowing what carrier to go with to me, the equivalent of hiring a mechanic to change my oil and then watching him go to the auto store and say "I'm getting ready to change someone's oil, what do I need to buy?"

See dandan, this is how a professional sells life insurance.

I was waiting on your lengthy advice HAHHA.

Oh I missed the question on the end, a wrench an oil filter and some oil! LOL

And since you are giving advice here is some for you, If somebody is seeking help or advice and you think it is not worth your time shut up keep it to yourself and move on, why keep prodding?

My wife had alittle surgery yesterday I am glad I am sitting here talking to you!
