Final Expense Leads

how much does it cost you?

Dealing with a paper is much like buying anything; in that it involves some negotiation. You can get a bulk rate if you promise to advertise so many column inches per year. If you do not hit your promise to them; a good many newspaper's will come back and bill you for the columns retro-actively. I get a good rate:

2X4 AD floating between the Obits and Financial section for $800.00 per month. I could expect to pay about $1200 per month without the commitment. One final comment:

Every paper is different; and as such will have different prices.

It depends on how many subscribers they have. The paper I quoted has around 5 million viewers I think, i think dont quote me.

Being here in Arkansas there are only a handful of people that can read.......LOL. My paper has a saturation pop of about 250K-300K over a 100 mile radius.

I got quoted a price of $455 to run a 4in ad once a week for 10 weeks in the obits. That's $45.00 per week

I have two ads running for health insurance right now, and will wait a few weeks to see if I get any results from those ads first.

Be sure and let us know what kind of results you got from these ad's.

Anybody ever try running display ads for final expense in the obituary section of a newspaper?

I'm running a business card size display ad for health insurance in our local newspaper for 90 days. It's going in the business service display ad section of the classifieds.

I thought if the ad works for health insurance, I would also try one in the obits for final expense.

One of my New years resolutions was to do less lead buying and more lead creating this year.

When I was sales manager for a local Honda dealership I was responsible for the advertising. When I placed an ad, I paid a 20% premium to have my ad on the page beside the obituaries instead of the classified. Our owner thought I was a whack job but our sales calls pronbably doubled.

Of course I wasn't tageting the families of the dead but I know that the majority of people 40 or over look at the obits in the morning. You will get some calls but the newspaper is dead. Every paper has a website and tons of people checkout the headlines online while in their underwear drinking a cup of coffee.

You look in the classifieds ONLY if you are in the market for a job or a vehicle, but the secret is to get those that don't even know they are in the market to call you:1eek:.
