Final Expense to Age 85?

Most companies go to 85yrs old. There are only a few that don't. I like Foresters price for the age group. Lincoln Heritage and American Memorial are too expensive.

Sounds convincing.

I don't think American Memorial's rates are too bad on it.

85 male non smoker

$10,000 $141.15
$25,000 $348.82
$75,000 $1,041.05

RNA will go

$10,000 $119.96
$25,000 $293.39
$75,000 $871.46

BUT they will often table up on the older people. I've had instant approvals from American Memorial that ended up being cheaper than the RNA after a 5-week wait on underwriting for an older man.

Yes American Memorial pays your non res fees. They want you to write business BEFORE you contract with them to do it.

Commission is lowered on American Mem on the real young and the real old ages but that's where their rates are more in line.

Does Foresters allow phone applications or applications thru the mail?

I finally wrote my first Foresters case 2 weeks ago. From the application it says you have to do the phone interview in person with the applicant, at time of application.

Anyone know of a final expense company that will go to age 85 that will allow applications to be taken by phone or by mail?

I don't sell term to Seniors, so my info is SIWL. AND I don't know if you mean sales strictly over the phone w/o seeing client, so this is my list of carriers. Most of them require a PHI (telephone interview). Usually in the UW guide it will ask if you see the client or not. Some just want that noted on the app., some will demand F2F.

You will pick up from posts prior to mine (I hope) that your client has to be in pretty good health to get coverage at 85. If they are able to answer the health questions at the immediate benefit level, several companies will serve them. Less than good health (any adverse answers) will usually not only relegate them to a graded policy, but may limit the upper age and/or maximum face value.

Examples...........*

Americo - Non-smoker/good health (level): $30K to 85
Smoker/Level or graded: $30K to 80

Assurity - Smoker or Non/level: $50K to 65/$25K to 80
/Graded: $35K to 65/$25K to 80

Fidelity - Smoker or non/Graded: $100K to 65/$50K to 75

Forresters- Smoker or Non/level: $35K to 80/$15K to 85
/graded:$20K to 80/$10K to 85

Presidential SIWL-Smker or Non/level: $20K to 80/$15K to 85
GBL- Smoker or Non/Graded: $50K to 80 *

UHL - /Level (Premier): $100K to 60/$50K to 80
/Level (Deluxe): $50K to 80
Smoker or Non/Graded: $25K to 80

*(most states)

Thanks for this question... I needed to do this for my FE matrix, so I decided to share this w/ everyone.

Foresters is running beta on the phone apps now. I'll have more info after 3/9 on that.

Monumental will let you do the mail thing and they don't cut rates on the modified plan near as much as American Memorial.

They also don't cut the commission down at age the older ages as much as American Memorial.

Don't get me wrong; the American Memorial FE is pretty good; just a few things that I don't much care for with the commissions.
