First Death Claim

Yeah, that's it. The only reason the company doesn't pay is because the agents are "shady".

So that's the company line now?

You are nothing but a tool.[/QUOTE

I'm not sure about the company as a whole I don't track that. I was just stating my experience. And you will hear no "company" lines from me.

Just curious if I'm a tool what kind of tool would I be.

A hammer? I could live with that. ;)

All we get from you is the company line. I hope agents that you are recruiting get to read the stuff you post here.

You probably don't steer recruits to this site.

I would imagine that anyone could read my posts on here. It is a public forum.

The insurance forum is not something I mention in my meeting no. Usually when I communicate with my agents its about our day to day happenings in the FE not so much what forums I enjoy reading when I'm taking a break from the grind.

Now that Rick has taken a break from loving everybody, I should mention that I have taken over loving all of you.
Have a happy 4th!

Yes, I am say those are terrible companies when it comes to paying death claims in the contestable period. They pay a very small percentage of those claims. Even outside the contestable period SL is pretty slow compared to most companies. LH does a pretty good job being speedy outside the contestable period.
Do some research if you wish to see the facts for yourself, or live in ignorant bliss...your choice.

Where do I go to research how fast/slow a FE co. pays their death claims? I don't mean co. propaganda brochures, but hard accurate facts. Where did u find this info from? I'd also like to see it for myself.

As far as paying claims during the contestable period, if tele-sales is used, there is ZERO chance of a mistake by the agent concerning meds/health questions as everything is recorded using a script written by the legal team. Protects the agent and the co. from an angry family when the proposed insured lied on the app and then dies during the contestable period. All SL does is send a copy of the recording to the angry family's attorney, attorney listens to the recording, then the attorney tells the family "sorry but we don't have a case".

PHIs are an agent's friend. There is nothing like a recording of the person saying no to the question on the phone to take liability off the agent. Now they have to claim the agent told them to lie with no evidence to support the accusation.

20 years in the biz never had a life claim denied. Had some contested claims take up to 6 months to pay.
