First Final Expense Sale!

Hey crew, I wrote my first policy today! I'm fairly experienced in in-home sales through reverse mortgages, but still was really nervous.

After small talk my first question was, "Why did you fill out the card and send it back?" The answer, "I'm curious" and a blank stare. After a couple more questions, she has a term policy and a final expense policy through work where her benefit just got cut.

I proposed to give her flat out simplified issue whole. It fit the void that her term and work FE couldn't. And she got out the checkbook and bought!!!!

I couldn't be happier. She referred her sister-in-law to me for a mortgage and sister for final expense. I should've gotten more, but she told me that was it. I've got to improve that part of the game buuuuuut....SUPER HAPPY!

Congrats! When you ask why the card was filled out, make it a multiple choice question instead of fill in the blank and the next one will go even smoother!

Great job man. I had a few sales with FE then got discouraged and went on to do something else. Now I regret that and am preparing myself for a 2nd go at it.

Truth be told the sale was easy and I enjoyed it very much, where I got discouraged was prospecting and lead buying. But considering prospecting is such a huge part of this business I better get over that and either get on the phones or start knocking on some doors!

Congrats, welcome to the club. My advice, sit down and think of all the obstacles that are preventing you from running out the door in the morning to prospect. Then figure out how to overcome them.
I have my own issues, routing leads, ironing clothes, printing more apps etc...come up with a routine to take care of the obstacles, this natural momentum will then take care of itself.
