I am trying to change fmo with an insurance co.-I have not written any no business under this fmo for 2 years-but he will not sign a release so i can go directly to the same company any alternatives pls thx

Which carrier? If you wanted to go to another FMO I assume they could help with the transfer...the carrier isn't going to care to much...

So you have submitted new contracting paperwork direct to the carrier and they say you still need a signed release?

Id you have not written any business in 2 years there should be nothing to release or have you found out otherwise? The maximum time limit is usually 6-12 months.

Several companies have no limit and require a release regardless of the time.

Do you owe him any money?
