I haven't written a Foresters policy since the 2nd unpaid death claim. They won't say for sure that it's the stent. All they will say is question number blah blah blah was answered incorrectly. That one included stents, though. I am getting a letter from his Doctor to prove the dates but I'm not holding my breath. Nine months to investigate a claim is ridiculous. I'll never write another Foresters policy and I'll replace every one I come across.

Well there's your problem. Don't go around promising speedy 9-month decision making from them.

This is what agents faces wen da insurance co waits until death to underwrite life policies. Everybody is happy until claim time!

Haha! I ran into a nice elderly couple that had just signed up with foresters just days before. The reason that they bought the policy is because the agent told them that they pay death claims within 48 hours and if they "tipped over" the day after they signed up that they would get their money. It was all I could do to not laugh!!!

I've had hundreds of death claims. No other company has ever pissed off the client family. I've even had two that were contested that didn't pay. They were fine. The company they were with had some compassion and kept them in the loop of what was going on.

After waiting over five months forester finally paid my first death claim w/ them plus interest. What a relief!

I am contesting Foresters on something else, not a death claim I have enough experience with them to feel there is something internally wrong in that company. My opinion.
I had to use this number for Global Compliance
1-877-201-9201 with them. Not sure this is going to be
that helpful, but they take a complaint report and give it to uppers at Foresters. We'll see. Probably a pattern developed over time with state attorneys general might be helpful.
