So how do you educate them on the difference between UL and WL, without making them look ignorant about their purchase or bashing who sold them the policy in the first places.
 
They will feel stupid or lied to no matter how you educate them. You don't have to bash anyone, just simple education.


Actually it is an art to show someone they did a stupid thing without actually telling them that they did a stupid thing.

You must become that artist to thrive in this business.
 
I just tell them that the policies were made popular in the 80s when interest rates were in double digits. If they still were they would be fine, but we all know they aren't and they had no guarantees. I tell them the ones I use would be guaranteed so they wont ever be in that situation again, regardless of the future interest rates or state of the economy.
