Funeral Cost Inflation Calculator

Anyone know of an app or calculator that can be used to show the future cost of a funeral. I realize there are variables due to such things like regions.

Preferably something I can down load to my Android phone or laptop.

Any type of investment calc will work. I still use a great one on an old Palm Pilot a carry around for things like that.

On the iphone I have one called iCompound that works fine. You just put the funeral amount in as the Current balance. For monthly or annual additions you put zero.

Interest rate should be 4 to 4.5% to be realistic.

Number of years is: how long are you going to live Mrs. Smith?

You're figuring the future value. Any financial calc will do it for you.

Example:
cremation=1500 inflation rate=5% age=59
if age is less than 60 then LE=76-age i.e., 17 yrs
if age is sixty or greater then LE=(100-age)X .4
(1+.05)^17 X 1500= 3438

Future value on pretty much any calculator will compute it for you...Where I work this is what we do for fun

Future money is a free app on android. They have the easiest to use amortization and inflation for.
