I'm going door to door in the hood up in kc, while I wait for leads (I'm using script advice you've given on previous posts) maybe I can use this info as education. If they tell me they're good to go, I could ask
if they have 1035ed their policy into a funeral trust, or is medicaid going to be keeping it all.
When they ask what I'm talking about, set the appt. What do you think about that?

If they 1035 it Medicaid still gets it. That's why funeral trusts are exempt on day 1 instead of a 5-year lookback. Anything not used for legit funeral or cemetery expenses MUST go to the estate and Medicaid gets everything from the estate.
