Lots of reasons with the major one being many people work in areas that straddle state lines!Although I'm not sure I see the need to be licensed in more than one state if your not working for a call center.

You don't transfer your license.Great question and information, thank you. I did go to the NIPR mentioned above but I found I have to apply to each state individually and that it does not specify requirements before hand. How will I know if my newly obtained NY state license will suffice? Any guidance, input on states that I can just get my license transferred to? I will appreciate it tremendously!
