Getting Licensed with a Fraud Charge

I know for a fact that there is... I have employed them before, its very dependent on the type of infraction. License-able... that's up to the DOI and they are usually pretty forgiving of things beyond 5 years, but that depends on state, and type of infraction.
Really.. ? I would have thought with the internet that clients would look up the agent and cancel once they found out.. But - you have first hand experience with felons being producers so that should be encouraging to some..

I think you really need to talk with your lawyer again because based on this thread, the word "dismissed" is completely inappropriate. You were charged with fraud and plead guilty to contempt of court. Nothing was "dismissed". You plead guilty to a crime, no? You've been sentenced and will serve probation, right? Why are you using the word "dismissed"?

Could be some sort of deferred adjudication where the charges are dismissed after a successful probation period. The process avoids having any kind of conviction on the person's record and, in many cases, may even allow the records to be expunged.

Whether the person needs to reveal the episode at some future date depends on how comprehensive the "have you ever" question is.

Now... I'm not saying it's the most opportune situation... but... and I stress... BUT... it depends on the felon, and the felony.
Of course it's not the most opportune situation - I'm just surprised a license is offered. I'm assuming if a person can get past that hurdle there has to be someone out there willing to take a leap of faith on them.
