Help Picking the right Company

Just curious Scott . You used to charge all fex agents basically the same right.?I know a few of your agents and some pay more than $36. For instance I know in some states rgi charging IMO's $45-$50 in tougher states. Are you passing that on?I hear Ohio a tough response state now from many agents.

Far more FEX agents don't use RGI than do.

Most of the heavy hitters at FEX get 25 leads per week. Many of the top agents get less than 25. But FEX does have some agents getting 40-50 leads per week. Very few of those. I think Jordan gets 25 per week? He can correct me if that wrong. And he may be the number 1 agent at FEX. Production wise.

Correct. 25 leads weekly.

The best agents I know buy 20-25 leads, set their own appointments, and work with FEX lol

I was just at my desk working on my weekly lead billing when I read your post. There is only one agent that I billed over $1,000 on his weekly leads and he was just a little over.
We use 4 different direct mail vendors. Any of the states that RGI charges the higher prices we just don't use them there.
Are you struggling on your leads?

Only two for face to face, and I suggest 100% you learn the craft selling face to face, and later move to remote/telesales if that is where life takes you:

FEX Contracting @Newby (Scott Burke), request a ride-a-long with Travis Tubbs selling live in the field.

or

CFC @Jose Arteaga and do whatever you have to go out in the field live with Jose himself.

Jose Arteaga 602-554-2862

Plan to spend $500/week MINIMUM to get up and running with leads. $1000 is probably a better budget.

Whichever way you go, insist on getting trained by ride-a-long with an experienced high producing agent (not a high RECRUITING agent - an agent who produces consistently high premium on his or her own pen).

Then, do as you are taught. DON"T try to put your own dumba$$ twist on someone else's presentation. Learn the presentation used by a high PRODUING agent and then stick to that script.

This is a simple business, and easy: Simple to learn, easy to screw up.

Are they in Tampa?

How do I do a ride-along if they are not in Tampa?

There are FEX Agents in FL. But, like a lot of independent agencies, there's no physical office or location where you can walk in and speak to the manager. Most of us learned by knowing the scripts and getting in front of prospects.

As far as a ride along, you'd have to travel to Nashville to ride with Travis. Or you'd have to hope an experienced FEX agent would let you ride with them. I always welcome ride alongs, but I'm in NW Arkansas.

Planes, trains, and automobiles?

Can you not figure out how to get to Tennessee or New Mexico?

I'm thinking that being a self-employed life insurance agent may not be the right career choice for you.

Hmm. I guess thank you for letting me know they are not in Tampa, and that they are cool with me going out to them and that's how I would get a ride a long.

But you lost me with the passive aggression and I'm very skeptical of your suggestions now since we are a sum of the company we keep. But thank you very much for your time and effort to help.

Actually you might want to listen to what he says. He's been around the block a few times and he knows his stuff. And you're going to get a lot of that on here. So buck up.

So far you been advised to reach out to Todd, Newby, Duford and Ciaccio. How many have you called?

Since you're in Tampa, common sense says ask Ciaccio for a ride a long. Riding with him doesn't mean you've got to contract with him. Hell, you can contract with all 4 if you like.

You're welcome to come to South Georgia and ride with me but I don't do ride a longs. I do drive bys.

But you lost me with the passive aggression

"Passive aggressive?" Listen kiddo, I did not indirectly express negative feelings toward you - I went head on. I told you explicitly that I think you're out of your depth here and maybe you should be looking for an hourly job rather than becoming a self-employed business owner. Passive aggressive? C'mon cupcake.

I'm very skeptical of your suggestions now since we are a sum of the company we keep.

Tell us you're a post-millennial Gen-Z without telling us you are.

I'm pretty great at identifying good culture

Here is another psychology term with which you should familiarize yourself:

Dunning–Kruger effect - Wikipedia

You come on here asking us how you can make $1000 net per month? I shared with you the exact roadmap that many have used to get to $10K per month net and more, and yet you balk because it would require you leave Tampa for three or four days?

Just think about how you sound to others here right now. Before you "speak," think about that.

And finally, cupcake, here is what I was responding to:

Are they in Tampa?

How do I do a ride-along if they are not in Tampa?

How do you do a ride a long if they are not in Tampa? I live in Allentown, PA. My daughter went to college at Villanova University. Villanova is not in Allentown. How do you think she got a degree from Villanova if Villanova isn't in Allentown?

Can't you see that your attitude in that question is antithetical to entrepreneurial success?

When the student is ready, the teacher appears. But that doesn't mean the teacher comes to you.

Actually, I did listen to what he said, you seem to not care for what I heard. But that's okay, I appreciate the help, but I'm very capable of knowing how to know what help is worthy of my acceptance.
