I have created a list that has been scrubbed to weed out the dnc numbers. I basically call the numbers that are NOT on the dnc list. A problem I am facing is that many are not active numbers or they dont accept incoming calls. Probably the biggest obstacle is that when I do get a person on the phone they get upset that I'm calling a cell phone. Is this normal? Is there a better way to increase my chances of speaking with someone? How am I to know if its a cell phone or a landline? Im ok with calling and dont have a problem doing so, I just want to increase my chances of a sale. Do most of you purchase a list that works better? I am calling for P&C.

I bought a list form Al, from The data and marketing profesional and I'm pretty happy with it. Besides that, he is a really nice guy.

What was it and what'd you pay for it?
Small business. if you go to their website you will see they have an entire state for 99 bucks. Not recently scrubbed, some duplicated numbers, but not painful if using a dialer.

All I can say is if they answer, be it cell phone or landline, just give it your best shot. No matter what, most people have their guards up if you catch them on a cold call irregardless.
