Helping New FE Agents Build Their Business

Well for an update, I had went out my first day and written 3k in premium and was told that the pay was set up to be sent every day. Month later I am still waiting but I know the managers have been paid off my work because they told me so. I keep asking about my pay, saying I am ready to write more business but I want to know I will be compensated before I write another policy for them and I am being told go write more that it will get worked out.

I loved the leads, truly the best leads I had ever used. If the pay had not turned out to be an issue I would be loving it. I am not needing the money owed but it is out of principal that has me so upset.

I know you were initially excited about your opportunity. I'm curious. Are you not being paid directly from the carrier(s)? If not, what does your contract with the IMO advise regarding your compensation? Since the managers have been paid, you know that the policies were issued. I understand your reluctance to write more business for them.

Call the company and make sure all the requirements are in. If so ask the commission Dept were your money is. If they say you need to talk to your upline you may have an issue.

Also this is not about principles, it is about your business.

I have spoken to the company many times and was told that it is my up lines responsibility to fix it that I could now. I double checked my contract to make sure I was on both advance and direct deposit which it is, but somewhere between submitting my contract to the managers and it going in to the carriers system it changed.

I had contacted the managers multiple times and was told it was resolved and for weeks I was told the funds were coming any day now. I contacted the carrier again today and they said there is no record of my managers requesting any changes to anything.

I had recently started a business where I was subcontracting under another business (non-insurance) and am now in court with them for over 30k I earned but was not paid, sadly this is starting to feel like the same situation.

Did you ask specifically if your commissions are assigned to your upline? Is so what did they say? If not, ask. something sounds off.

Direct deposit is not what you are looking for. It PAID DIRECT from the INSURANCE COMPANY.

You have assigned commissions to your upline. That is the biggest no no you can do. Cut bait and run. You paid the price of education with that one.

Too bad about this! When I hear the name Fortis, I think legit...but this isn't the same Fortis that became Asssurant. You know something's wrong when it says the management's bios are coming soon.:skeptical:

Just to update. A bit more then a week ago I sent an email letting them know exactly how I feel. Since then there have not returned any calls or emails and their website has been down ever since I sent that email.

It is a shame I was thinking they were legit...and going to pay me.
