High Court To Hear Challenge To Health Law Subsidies

Obamacare Architect John Gruber: "Americans are Stupid"

Ref: ObamaCare architect says lack of transparency helped law pass, cites 'stupidity of the American voter' | Fox News

If we're stupid, why did you have to hide key elements of Obamacare in order to pass it?

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Obamacare is better than what we had....hands down!

AC do you want to go back to your underwriting guides? rate ups? riders? declines?

Screw that noise!

Free Market Underwriting, lower premiums, higher commissions for healthy people? Certainly! If they get declined, or conditions excluded, or rated higher than they're willing to pay, "ObamaCare" can be their Plan-B.

Higher Commissions....thats laughable! You can't get paid on declines.
Before Obamacare we were running around chasing down self-employed folks making in excess of $70,000 a year that were healthy. A very niche market! If an agent earns less money with Obamacare than before they are either stupid or just plain lazy.

LONG LIVE OBAMACARE!!!

Indeed it was! Our telemarketing department generated loads of self-employed local leads. I worked less for the same target income. We must work different markets, HouCoogster. Not one person in my client base is happy about ObamaCare. Only the newly acquired ones who were declined previously. They are a small minority.

AC forget all those crybabies.......New Law = New Market = More Opportunity = More $$$ in AC's Pocket.

Nothing else matters......nothing........let the chips fall where they may.

Ratt N' Roll

Keep in mind you're having a discussion with a glorified navigator.

Now, Houcoogster, you admitted on this forum that you had no health insurance sales prior to last year's ACA enrollment. And you admitted that you had been in the business previously and you left it due to rising premiums (I believe you said that was in the 1990's). So, you have no pre-ACA clients experiencing what our clients are experiencing. When you say this is a great law you mean for your new clients only, and when you say not to listen to "crybaby" clients, you actually don't have a book of business from pre-ACA. When we look at who was helped and who was hurt we have to look at the whole nation, not just 6 million people who bought from exchange!

I hear you and you're right on all points. The point I was trying to make to AC was don't let your existing pre aca clients bog you down and put you in a negative frame of mind which will cost you new aca clients.
