where does the personal liability of a ho4 policy end?

will it cover only rented premises or it can extend to the owners front yard, ,hallway, sidewalk, back yard, because you have access to the walkways and such, but technically you only rent the apartment.

Need to look at the policy definition of 'insured location'.
a. the 'Residence Premises' ...the residence premises definition includes "other structures and grounds at that location".
b. The part of other premises, other structures and grounds used by you as a residence;

so meaning as long as you walk on the path - "used by you"

it is insured? I read that definition in the iso form, but trying to explain it in a simple form
