Time to get BACK to work!

I have seen so much production come in the past couple of days from so many cooped up final expense agents just itching to get back out there and not have to deal with small smoke screens that agents take seriously this time of year.

Going out on the 19th of this month for example with someone telling me now is not a good time because of Christmas... What does that have to do with me showing you what you qualify for?

Of course I understand some people are legitimately busy, but 90% of Final Expense clients are just saying it because it scared the last agent away - guess they'll send in another lead card for you LOL

What are your goals going to be for 2020, you can only be successful if you are PREPARED

Shiiit! I been working...Only took 2 days off

Im not final expense but this is a good thread

And yes. I feel like prospects just use the holidays as an objection. Perhaps a percentage of them really did max out their budgets but thankfully here lately I haven't gotten the holiday objection. it's still the holidays I think Hanukkah and New Years and whatever else is still going but I think some of these people would find ANY excuse at any time of the year (the wind is blowing too hard, my tooth hurts, I have to go to yoga class now, etc) to put something off if they don't realize how important it is.

Anyways Ill be thinking about my goals and reporting back here shortly

LOL! I get a bunch of i'll do it or ill look at this after the 1st of the year.
These SAME people do the above. My dog is sick, my cat is mean, i have to ask my mother, ect............ Near worthless.

On the debit, I have to collect first month's premium to submit the app. Up until recent years, that was the rule even for bank drafted FE. So, people are often expecting that you'll be asking for money up front, which they don't have after buying presents for the grandkids. They're putting you off for money concerns, but may not want to tell you that, so they say they're too busy. If you can assure them that they won't need any money to talk with you, they'll often let you in.

Good point shonceman

I would also make it a point to say something I heard from that Cody Askins guy "the information is free and the cost for me to deliver it to you is free" .... however most of them will be like "well I don't want to waste your time and have you drive out here for nothing" - so you're right that they're putting an agent off for money concerns but don't necessarily want to admit they maxed out their budget and can't get what they asked for - at the current time.

Also I want to know is New Year's Day a work holiday for agents? I want to door knock but I don't know if I'll get cussed out like this is some sacred holiday or something?

I'm not working today because I don't want to. But I've worked plenty of holidays in the past (except Thanksgiving and Christmas). Sometimes people would give me a funny look and ask why I was out working on a holiday. I would usually show them my stack of lead cards (which I always kept my new leads clipped to a good sized bunch of older leads) and say "I've got more people to reach than I've got time for, so I thought this would be a good day to catch people home." A lot of seniors aren't really doing anything special anyway. As long as you don't start too early, you should be ok.

Thanks shonceman!

I'm doing MP at current so hopefully some of these people will be home as well.

Yesterday I door knocked because some joker agreed to an appointment but it was a waste of my time. I figured since I was already out in the sticks I might as well see if any of these other people are home.

Well New Year's Eve turned out to be a bust for door knocking.

I went from 11:30 - 3p

Only 1 dude was at home and he allegedly couldn't afford anything

I guess I thought more 9-5 people would be off work....

Anyhow I plan to door knock today (hope noon isn't too early) and each day through Saturday - mainly because I'm working with older leads and the manager challenged me to 75 knocks this week (trying to come in 2020 with a bang) so I'll report back.

You are spot on, I run into this all the time. People always have an excuse anytime of year to not talk about life insurance, I just try to push 4-5 times to get into the home. Maybe more depending on the objection so I can get in the home
