Quick question. I am a brand new independent agent in Ohio. Have been captive pretty much my whole career. The question I have is this: I have a client that has 3 claims in the last 5 years, she is with Allstate and they are raising her rates the companies I have wont take her (Grange, Safeco, MetLife, Travelers and Progressive). Anyone know a company I could contract with to write her? And I don't want fairplan. Any Ideas?​

Your trying to write sub-standard business with preferred carriers (except Progressive), of course they do not want it..

Try a sub-standard carrier like Foremost

Yep. I have the contracting done with them just waiting on the appointment. it amazes me that people will turn in $115 water claim and wonder why the are getting canceled or rates are going up....

I went with Smartchoice, they are also able to get me some direct appointments as well.....so far so good.

Its not bad so far and the sales manager has been able to get me a couple of direct appointments....
