Hoovers for Cold Calling?

Has anyone ever gone this route? I know that it is just business listings, but it seems like it could be beneficial. I just wanted to hear if anyone has used them, and if so, how it turned out.

It's great that I found this forum and I am looking forward to learning and sharing knowledge.

Do you use your Dirt Devil for cold calling? How well does it work?

Reminds me of an old joke.

Guy going D2D selling vacuum cleaners. Rings the bell, lady answers.

He starts into his pitch over the protests of the lady.

Ignoring her, he pulls out a bag of dirt and junk. She warns him not to do that.

He responds by saying if his vacuum doesn't pick up every bit he will eat it.

With that, he throws the dirt on the floor, plugs in the vacuum, hit's the switch, and . . . nothing.

She says, "I tried to warn you. My electricity was cut off because I could not afford to pay my bill. I will get you a spoon. Be right back."

Vacuum's really suck.

Of course so does cold calling so I guess things are even.

i agree, the vacuum is one of the only products you can say it sucks and thats a good thing.
