how do you get back on original medicare

O.K., everyone. I apologize. That suggestion to stop paying premiums was made half in jest. If I were in the Medicare market I would not really give that advice to a client as I am sure I would get burned.:goofy:

The client must prove to CMS that they were swindled in some way in order to leave the plan outside of the enrollment period. CMS doesn't seem to care about the whole "my doctor wont take it" thing, just whether the agent lied to get the client to enroll. Otherwise, the client must find another doctor who will accept the plan. (crazy)

If a client drops an MAPD for non-payment, they lose their drug coverage. At best, they would be penalized forever. At worst, they can't pay for medication.

I agree with TX - get the govt. out of medicine.

Rick

They will also still be liable for the unpaid premium, and I know of cases where unpaid premiums in such cases are being turned over to outside collection agencies.
