DHK gave you some excellent advice. Most people will be open to let you mail them some information. The vast majority of those people will never read over the information and when you call them back to see if they have any questions they will be very polite and tell you they have not had a chance to go over it yet. No matter how many times you call them back they would not have gone over the information you sent them. I do cold calling but only mail out information to people that I feel are qualified prospects.
I have never sold someone that said "send me over some information". My typical response, "I'm a little confused, what exactly is it you want me to send over?"
Other end of the line: "ah, um, I don't know, just some information on your product and what you offer. If I'm interested, I'll call."
Cut it loose right away: "Mr. Suspect, I have all sorts of information in my office, but most of it would be a complete waste of your time. If you are serious about looking at your options, I would be more than happy to spend a few minutes talking about your situation. If it's not a concern, that's fine as well and we can part ways. What do you think?"
98% choose to part ways, they had no interest in the first place.
