Hi. Helping friend with choosing Part D. Her meds are all Tier 1 with WellCare and this seems good for her.

Question, please....what if doctor says next week she needs some expensive script that is not on this formulary....what does member do then?

Thanks.

I advised my customers to do Part D through Walmart, CVS, Costco so their pharmacist was there to answer all of THEIR questions and file any exceptions on the spot.

If I was an insurance agent (I'm not) I would reread some of the Wellcare threads from November onward, look again at client's meds and coverage options and consider all the info together before I made a recommendation to client.

Chazm's comment pretty well covers it from the agent information perspective. You and/or your client can spend a lot of time running hypothetical medicine lists, but anything beyond the current actual meds which the client plans on buying in US pharmacies is just a guess which may, or may not, match up with future medical needs.
