I am reposting as suggested but I will keep it brief. I was blacklisted in Community Mental Health in IL because I complained about client and staff abuse. It was then that I learned the the agency was being run by an attorney who used and sold drugs for 30 years. The Masters Degree I worked hard for is no good any longer in my field. The individual who has caused me this trouble is a small town attorney with power extending to Chicago and Springfield. I had no idea that taxpayer funded social work jobs were so corrupt.
I am glad to be out of that field and am trying to reset my goals on making a living as an insurance agent. My education works well in sales but selling an insurance product requires much different skills. I have been told you just present the product and collect a decision. I feel there is more to it than that. Another individual has told me you never take No as an answer and that is not acceptable to me. I want to respect people no matter what I do.

You have definitely been given some bad advice. People hate to be sold anything but they love to be helped when making a decision.

I educate my prospects about Medicare and Medicare Supplements using factual information presented logically so they understand it.

I don't sell insurance, instead I help them make a well-informed decision regarding the policy that is the best investment of their premium dollar.

Dwayne, While I agree that some of the recruiter on here pounce on every other threat and end with call me or email me. In this case he asked. Seems an appropriate place for recruiters to offer their help.

Edit: As disclosure, I have contracted several people on here also.

Me too.....Never again, but I was making a jokey joke about an agent needing help, drawing a whole forum of agents going after him, like a foot race. Like greyhounds at a dog track, chasing the same rabbit. I just think it's amusing, that's all.
