i also have been contracted with Insphere for almost a year, writing life and ltc when they come along through referrals. The whole buying bad leads, chasing people down, hoping that they qualify to be able to buy health insurance out of open enrollment, packaging in utter crap and hoping to get a sig and check before they become aware of what they're getting just isn't a sound business model and doesn't really offer long term growth potential. The corporate stuff they spew at you is sickening and insults your intelligence, and its funny how some of the people actually eat it all up even as they're making three hundred bucks or so if they're lucky.
anyways, the place doesn't really have a great reputation, commissions are on the low side, and dealing with their salary guys is a freaking joke. BTW they hired me and jerked me around for months before getting me through their rigorous and thorough training program before I was allowed by them to go out and start working.
I have a lot of referrals that are coming in for LTC and Life cases. They vary greatly and most of them are in the pipeline right now and not finalized, as it takes people some time to decide on products that cost 5k+ a year.(concept misunderstood by insphere, and misinterpreted as slacking by the salary guys)
My question is should I stay with them, and just sporadically write ltc and life whenever it comes in through them? Or should I get out and write on my own?
Will I only be able to write with carriers they are not appointed with?
