I haven't run into this situation in my relatively short insurance career...but since most states are comparative negligence, would umpd still pay the at fault party's share in this case?
Also, I wasn't aware there were states where umpd is not compulsory. Even if it weren't here, it would be silly not to have. The most I've ever seen it cost is $20/6 months - and SCHP reports that 1 in 5 cars in the state are uninsured. Worth every penny IMO.
