I like most of you

I knew several agents who did well with them all through the 90's into the 2000's. Sure, their rates were high. But a good agent providing a decent product won't be easily replaced, I don't care how high they are.

It wasn't like that. The rates were not just high they were through the roof. If the medicare F-plan for a 65yr old male was running around 1000 a year with every other company then United American was charging 1600 for the same plan. It don't matter if you as the agent are the best looking nicest Christian man on the planet if the rates are 500 or 600 dollars a year higher you are going to get replaced baby.

I'm not disagreeing that they were replaceable on rate. In my brief foray into med sups in the mid '90's, I competed easily with UA on price. But price isn't everything. I was mainly using Pyramid, who had the lowest rates in my area, and I could dramatically undercut everybody else. But UA had the name recognition, and did a pretty good job handling claims at that time. And if they bought it from an agent they trusted, even the "best looking...", etc. couldn't replace it.

There are some on here that did know Frank personally. I didn't. I spent a good bit of time on the phone with him though. Not one person has ever said anything bad about Frank...until now. Do you really expect us to change our minds about him just because someone comes on here and tells us his opinion and what "he's heard" through the grapevine? Get real!!!

UA might have gotten replaced a lot (I replaced a good many myself), but they had to be sold before you could replace them. So don't say Frank wasn't selling any because premiums were too high. Your logic is not very logical. Next subject, please.

I can still remember a lady that had had a UA Med Supp with me for years tell me, "Tom, as much as I like you.....you're not worth the extra $50 a month."

Why in the name of common sense would I have wanted Frank's bogus software? Any agent selling United American in 2002 was an *** doing the client and himself a terrible injustice. Now tell us more about how much you don't know.
I'll just sit back and observe you looking like an ***. I feel sorry that you are still this upset over someone that passed quite some time ago. You seriously need a therapist...

For someone who just joined a few days ago (although I suspect you've been here before), you sure are a judgmental pile of garbage.

And I'm saying that with as much love as I can.

Frank virtually never sold Plan F. He sold Plan D.

He was one of my best friends and I really resent how you speak of someone you didn't know.

UA pioneered cross over claims filing with Medicare in the 80's. That was their only claim to fame after their premium rates went through the roof. Now, UA is just another overpriced Med Supp carrier.
