I really should be working

I love old marketing pieces like this!

My first doctor would always be smoking either a cigar or a cigarette in the exam rooms. All of my memories of him are of him holding pone or the other, and I can actually catch a hint of the cigar smoke if I really focus on remembering him.

He died of lung cancer when I was about 6 years old.

Not sure if he smoked Camels or not.

My dad smoked 5 packs a day of Camel non filters.

I had the privilege to meet and share a drink or two with these Ukrainian warriors. (im the old guy). As well as our air warriors.

Fair Winds And Following Seas

From a Tactical OPS Brewing post.

""Very sad to report that Andriy ("Juice") Pilshchykov, 30, gave his life in the service of his country last week. In better times, Fresno's Griffins threw a party at Tac OPS with some Ukrainian Air Force pilots following the Clear Skies Exercises, to have some fun and honor Lt. Col. Seth "Jethro" Nehring & Ukrainian Col. Ivan Petrenko, who were lost during those exercises. One of those in attendance was "Juice," then a baby-faced Mig-29 Fulcrum pilot who was funny as hell and leading the charge to modernize the tactics and equipment of his country's air force. Since then, he'd fought against the numerically superior Russian invading forces and was a huge part of his nation's success in obtaining commitments for F-16s to assist in their country's struggle for freedom. “So here’s a nickel on the grass to you, my friend, and your spirit, enthusiasm, sacrifice, and courage–but most of all to your friendship. Yours is a dying breed and when you are gone, the world will be a lesser place.”
