Easiest way to qualify an appointment is how much info it came with... If the appointment is nothing but a name number and address it's probably not the most solid appointment or maybe with the wrong person.
When the TM sets the appointment are they asking for the below?
# of employees/, Title, broker/carrier info, years with broker/carrier, Does the person who set the appointment sign the check or just get quotes together? Email/ Cell.
If they give you all that info it's a pretty good lead. If they hang up on you half way confirming the info and tell you to just come by…probably not.
Outside of the telemarketing - Maybe memorizing the supp apps and forms. Minimizing the back and forth information gathering w/ the insured.
Have you contacted your carriers and asked for their top SIC's by metro/state? Your carriers might just give him x-dates to call.
